Nails Inc Monmouth Street

                               

Did anybody say COLOUR? Here you GOT it! If I had to choose one single nail polish for this summer, it would definitely be Nails Inc Monmouth Street, no question. It was pretty tricky to capture the real shade on camera, that's why I posted so many pictures...It's the brightest hottest fuchsia pink you can ever imagine. I was actually at the supermarket handing the cash to the lady at the till when she stopped and genuinely complimented me on the colour of my polish. I was so flattered of course. Monmouth Street is a street in Covent Garden, one of London's coolest area, full of trendy shops, coffees, eateries, pubs, street artists...so nice to hang around and about just looking at "the various humanity" that happens to be there too. Anyway, back to the polish. If you could see it under the sun, you would understand how it brims in its own glory and shine, an incredible pearlescent finish with a strong blue undertone, excellent coverage, no streaks, dries in the fast lane the way I like it and it's a great eye catcher for its vibrancy. Perfect for summer.

Chi ha detto COLORE? Eccovi servite! Se dovessi scegliere un unico colore per l'estate, senza ombra di dubbio sceglierei  Nails Inc Monmouth Street. Non è stato facile ricatturare il colore originale con la macchina fotografica, perciò ho deciso di postare tante foto...Questo smalto è il più sgargiante fuxia che possiate immaginare. Ero al supermercato e mentre porgevo i soldi, la cassiera si è letteralmente fermata per avere tutti i dettagli del mio smalto...non accade tutti i giorni  ricevere un complimento così genuino e lusinghiero, per cui me lo tengo stretto. Monmouth Street è una strada di Covent Garden, un quartiere molto trendy e brulicante di vita a Londra, stracolmo di negozietti, ristoranti, pub e caffè da cui osservare la varia umanità che lo frequenta. Allo stesso modo vibra di luce propria questo smalto, un finish perlescente con forte sottotono blu, copertura eccellente, niente striature, si asciuga per direttissima ed è fatto per essere notato. Perfetto per l'estate. 

Nails Inc Bluebell

Il numero di Giugno del mensile inglese Instyle regala sempre qualcosa di speciale. Ho la data fissa nella mia agenda perchè di solito arriva un regalo da NailsInc, una delle case British di smalti che preferisco. Normalmente costano £11, per cui conviene prendere la rivista di corsa e magari anche più di  una se le nuance sono così primaverili e fiorite. Qui nella foto, Bluebell, un colore che cambia dal celeste pervinca al lilla delle campanule a seconda se lo si guarda al sole o senza luce diretta. In ogni caso un'edizione speciale creata apposta per questa rivista e che sembra sia andata a ruba sugli scaffali di WHSmith. Per non perdermi la mia, ho inviato il mio agente speciale il primo giorno in cui è uscito il numero...se c'è una cosa che odio è perdermi un freebie che mi sta a cuore! Il colore è veramente bello e non avevo nulla di simile nella mia collezione, trovo che si asciughi facilmente e abbia una buona durata. Ora lo so che in Italia non potete correre dal giornalaio ad acquistare Instyle, ma almeno quando vedrete gli smalti NailsInc da Sephora saprete di cosa si tratta!

This month Instyle magazine has some great freebies worth grabbing. I always make a date in my diary to pick the june issue because it usually comes with a free nail polish by NailsInc, one of my favourite varnish brands. This polishes usually retails for £11, so it's quite a bargain to pay £3.80 for the magazine. All the shades were especially created for Instyle and, especially Bluebell, has been quickly sold out in many stores and newsagents because it's the prettiest of the three and the most unique. Bluebell is a creme formula, it looks a sort of periwinkle blue in direct light and bluebell lilac indoor. It applies opaque in two coats and dries quickly in between. I really love this shade and I didn't quite have anything like that in my collection so I'm doubly pleased!

Nails Inc: Atomic explosion

Hi girls! Il post dell’altro giorno ha avuto tanti click quindi ecco per voi un altro Nails Inc, se possibile ancora più sgargiante e primaverile. Atomic è il nome della nuance, ed effettivamente è veramente esplosivo a guardarlo. Anzi, vi raccomando di mettere gli occhiali da sole prima di guardare tutte le foto! La formula è ottima, il pennello scivola facilmente sull’unghia, l’asciugatura è rapida come piace a me. Atomic è un polish che ho acquistato la scorsa estate su e-bay ma credo fosse stato creato per una rivista inglese, Fabulous. Anyway, bando alle ciance e vai con le foto.

Hi girls. Today I have swatched another polish from my Nails Inc collection. Bright and very eye catching, Atomic is truly a summer explosion. Careful, you are going to need sunglasses to look at the pictures! Bright saturated orange, the formula is excellent, good size brush which covers the entire nail in a couple of strokes, quick drying time. I bought Atomic last summer on e-bay, but I believe it was a sort of freebie you could get collecting tokens from  Fabulous magazine. Anyway, no more blah blah, just enjoy the pictures.

Nails Inc. Polish

Oggi ho deciso di mostrarvi uno swatch dalla mia collezione di smalti Nails Inc., una casa per una volta tutta made in UK, la cui formula trovo ottima sia nella stesura che nei tempi di asciugatura (fondamentale a mio giudizio!). Il colore scelto è un inno alla primavera (è qui finalmente!!), Coral, un tono di corallo pesca molto intenso che non farà passare inosservate le vostre unghie. In realtà i nomi degli smalti Nails Inc sono normalmente tutti ispirati ai nomi delle strade inglesi, come Baker Street, Notting Hill, Trafalgar Square tra i bestsellers, ma in questo caso Coral di qualche anno fà (2010 credo) non raccoglie la palma dell’originalità per il nome ma sicuramente per essere un colore di grande effetto. Nails Inc. è in vendita via internet su tanti siti, su www.nailsinc.com per dare uno sguardo a tutte le collezioni, il solito fidato lookfantastic.com che spesso fa offerte promozionali e spedizioni gratis,  e se fate un salto in UK (ne vale sempre la pena), boots e debenhams sono tra gli stores più comuni dove potete acquistarli dal vivo. Ma la vera novità è che sembra che gli smalti Nails Inc stiano finalmente per sbarcare anche in Italia (Urrà!!) in esclusiva da Sephora proprio in questi giorni. Il prezzo?  £11, cioè € 13 circa in UK.

Hi girls! Today I've decided to take the plunge and start publishing my posts both in English and Italian. Here I have swatched an old Nails Inc polish (2010 I think) because the shade is so much in tune with the explosion of a wonderful spring here in Italy (yeah!!!It was about time!!!). The shade is a gorgeous rich coral, I used two coats plus topcoat. It's not really a neon colour but definitely very vibrant and pigmented. The consistency is still quite good considering it's a couple of years old, but I'll admit  I added a couple of drops of nail thinner to make it perfect again.Your nails will definitely get a comment!
